In order to raise funds for their Olive Grove and Camp Kucak project St Pauls Cultural Centre held a May Fair.
This one they called ‘A Taste of Asia’ as they had Korean, Thai, Chinese and Vietnamese foods for sale as well as Tea, Coffee and cakes. There was also a big jumble sale in the garden as well as books and DVD’s upstairs in the building.
They even had a childrens corner with games, crafts and treats for the kids.
I was teaching in town that morning and popped in to see if I could pick up a bargain and indeed I found a cool shirt in the Jumble Sale. I also met a few friends there and had a quick chat with Pastor James Bultema.
It was more than worthwhile though popping in for the food alone as Marc Bowman had made a great curry which was super tasty.
They are always on the look out for donations to help fund their future projects so if you have any old clothes or bric-a-brac the please drop it in if you can. It would be much appreciated.
They also have a Christian Church Service as well as Turkish Lessons and other activities so if you are looking for some good food at their cafe and to meet some people it is a great place to drop in. You can even borrow books from their library.
They always give you a warm welcome there so don’t be shy!
