As you saw in the Street Rain blog post there has been a bit of Rain in Antalya of late and this Friday night was no exception.
Now, in Scotland we still go out when it’s raining because if we didn’t then we would never leave the house but in Antalya it puts the poor wee puppies into a state of hysteria if they have to go out in a torrential downpour so hence, there wasn’t a great turn out at King Bar.
June and Pete had a couple visiting them from the UK and they were in town anyway so they popped along and Roar would drink in a sinking ship as long as he could get a water taxi home at some point so he was there also.
Arzu and Aynur popped along a bit later and although we didn’t do the quiz, we had a nice chat and I got to save my quiz questions until next week, so it wasn’t all bad.
It was totally pissing down though and I really wished I’d took the bus as Aynur and myself got more than a bit wet on the bike going home.
At least it wasn’t as bad as a few weeks later when someone drove past us at full speed as we were going through a very large puddle!
Honestly, I was not a happy Chappie and confronted the driver at the Traffic Lights about what the hell she was thinking but therein lies the crux of the problem, she wasn’t, so I couldn’t get too mad and I have to trust the Universe will soak her from head to foot for me on some other given day. You can but dream. 😉
Wow, I just checked facebook after finishing the last sentence and this picture was sitting in my newsfeed. 🙂
Isn’t life is full of little miracles? Perhaps I may even get some good Karma for all the work I have done on this website, like even one comment but I’m not holding my breath for that one. 😉
Here is a video blog I recorded after I get home so you can get a sense of my mood.
