Ken had a friend called Jeff come to stay with him for a couple of months and he was leaving soon so they organised a Barby on their terrace, which also happens to be the roof of their apartment building.
Here is Jeff. He is what you would call a ‘character’. Apparently he can rub some people up the wrong way but me and him got on just fine. I believe in giving as good as you get so we had some good banter going pretty quickly. I was wanting to play my music but he was having none of it, so we are also alike in that respect too. 🙂
He was in charge of the Steaks and I have to say he done a first class job as they were done to perfection and the side dishes were lovely too.
Ken had been telling me of one of his good friends in Antalya, Nuri, so it was a pleasure to meet him. He was a really nice guy and I can see Ken has a good taste in friends. 😉
This lady was with Nuri. She could be his wife but I can’t remember. Charming eh. 🙂
Aynur turned up when her course had finished. You can probably tell she is pretty tired here and it wasn’t long before I walked her to the tram so she could go home for a good nights kip.
I hadn’t seen Don and his wife since I had arrived back in town so it was good to see them. They were kind enough to give me a lift home although they probably regretted it as I chewed their ears off all the way.
They dropped me about 5 minutes from my apartment and as I was walking back I stopped for a chat with a local shopkeeper. He ordered a couple of beers from the shop and we sat and chatted for about an hour or so. That’s the kind of things I love about Turkey.
He has a boat and wants me to help him find people to rent it out for daily fishing trips. So if you are interested, please get in touch and I will fill you in on the details.
